Free College Planning Event for New Hampshire High School Juniors

Concord, NH — New Hampshire high school juniors and their parents seeking college admissions and financial aid planning information are encouraged to register for the 17th Annual Destination CollegeSM event at Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday, April 2. This free college planning convention, hosted by The NHHEAF Network Organizations, features a variety of workshops as well as a college fair with nearly 70 colleges and universities in attendance.

“Over 1000 high school juniors and their parents will join us at this premier college planning event,” stated Karen Collins, co–chair of the Destination College planning committee. “Destination College provides college–bound students the necessary tools to begin their college search, to understand the college admissions and financial aid processes, and to attend a college fair to learn more about local and regional colleges.”

The event begins with a welcome from Southern New Hampshire University President, Paul LeBlanc and The NHHEAF Network Organizations’ President and CEO, René A. Drouin. A keynote address will be delivered by the Destination College Speech Contest winner, a college–bound New Hampshire high school senior.

Workshop descriptions and registration information are online at destinationcollege.org. The Destination College Speech Contest is open to New Hampshire high school seniors, with entries due Friday, February 26. In addition to presenting the keynote address at Destination College, the winner will also win a $1000 college scholarship.
